If you are a sports car enthusiast, you must check out the new 2022 Dodge Viper. This new sports car is featured with tenacious handling as well as brilliant infotainment interface. Even though it falls short regarding the convenience, the car is still recommended thanks to its excellent features.
2022 Dodge Viper Updates and Redesigns
The new Dodge Viper is available in five trim levels to choose from. Every model comes with numerous standard features. For top trim levels, buyers can get premium features as standard. Even so, those premium features are also available as options on the lower trim.
Exterior and Interior
There are five trims available for the 2022 Dodge Viper. Those are SRT, GT, GTC, GTS, and ACR. The standard Viper SRT comes with standard features including keyless entry and ignition, power adjustable pedals and a tilt-only leather wrapped steering wheel. The SRT models ride on 18” front and 19” rear wheels.
As for the infotainment features, the SRT comes standard with satellite and HD radio, an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, 12-peaker Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system, and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity. Further, it also features a rearview camera and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The one-level above, the GT rides on 19” front wheels. It comes standard with an 18-speaker premium Harman Kardon audio system, premium leather upholstery, five-mode stability control system, and a racier hood. Those also come standard on the GTC and GTS. The GTC adds a premium leather trim; while the GTS packs upgraded premium audio system.
Last but not least is the performance-themed ACR. The ACR is using less manual adjustable seats, less sound insulation, and lighter-weight carpeting to reduce the overall weight. As a result, the model packs more aggressive summer performance tires, adjustable damper setting, carbon-fiber aerodynamic element, manually-adjustable spring rates, and many more.
Buyers who buy lower trims can also opt for the premium features accessible on top models by options. The optional premium features include more aggressive aerodynamic tweaks, an adjustable rear wing, a carbon rear diffuser, and premium interior as well as exterior treatments.
Under the Hood
Every model of the new Dodge Viper is powered by a powerful 8.4 L supercharged V10 engine. The engine is capable of producing 645 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with six-speed manual transmission system to transfer the power to the rear wheels.
According to Dodge, it needs just about 3.6 seconds for Viper ACR to accelerate from zero to 60 mph. Further, Dodge mentions that the top speed of the 2022 Dodge Viper is about 177 mph.
