There are some plus and minus points of the upcoming 2022 Chevy Volt Hatchback. The new Volt Hatchback offers low fuel costs as well as plenty of advance technologies. 2022 Chevy Volt Updates and Redesigns
For 2022, the new Chevy Volt is featured with several optional packages. The options list will include adaptive cruise control as well as upgraded automatic emergency braking system. Besides featuring a plenty of safety features, the new Chevy Volt is mentioned to also have satisfying interior features.
Exterior and Interior
The 2022 Volt is a five-seat, four-door plug-in hybrid hatchback sedan offered in LT and Premier trims. The Volt LT rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. It comes standard with a number of exterior features including LED headlights and taillights. Also come standard on the Volt LT are keyless entry and ignition, a tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks.
On the inside, the Volt LT also comes standard with an eight-inch central touchscreen. The display is configured with Chevrolet’s MyLink interface and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. There are also Bluetooth connectivity, a six speaker sound system with satellite radio, two UB ports, and an auxiliary audio jack.
The automaker also offers optional Comfort package for the LT. The package adds heated front seats, leather upholstery, heated mirrors, and heated steering wheel. Further, there is also the optional eight-speaker Bose audio system as a stand-alone option.
As for the Volt Premier 2022, the automaker adds different 17-inch wheels, a wireless charging pad, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a navigation system, and an automatic parking system. Buyers can also opt for the Driver Confidence package for Volt Premier. The package adds blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning.
In addition to it, you can also get the Driver Confidence 2 package. However, to have this package, it requires the basic Driver Confidence package. The Driver Confidence 2 features lane-departure intervention and adaptive headlights. Further, it also adds forward collision alert with automatic low-speed emergency braking.
Under the Hood
The 2022 Chevy Volt is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system. It consists of twin electric motors and a 1.5 L gasoline engine. The electric motors are powered by 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery can be plugged in to recharge or be partially recharged on the go from the engine or generator.
