2021 Subaru Legacy GT Release Date & Price

The new generation 2021 Subaru Legacy is still quite far from the streets, but we managed to submit some interesting details about it. A popular mid-size sedan will get a new suit by the end of 2018, so we expect a model year 2021. In any case, the redesigned model will be an entirely new story from Subaru in many ways, and here’s why:

2021 Subaru Legacy Details

The 2021 Subaru Legacy will definitely use the new Global Car Builder Platform. Its architecture is introduced with a new Impreza generation, which gives us a lot of useful information. Subaru’s mid-size sedan will probably follow the smaller Impreza example, so it should provide a more nimble and comfortable ride.

However, the manufacturer promises a lower center of gravity with a new foundation, so the next generations Legacy have to be better dynamic capabilities. The 3.6 liter engine today has a very low chance to continue to be under the legacy of 2021 Heritage.

As the changes, the sedan will get 2.0-liter smaller but more powerful 2.0-liter flat-four that produces 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an all-wheel drive and CVT. However in base engine, we think that 2.5-liter can now be replaced with direct injection option 2.0 liter.

The engine will produce about 152 hp, which are less than 175 ponies at this time but still enough for its base model. However, this new architecture is designed for hybrid gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrids and even electric power plants, so we may see some alternative power train types under the 2021 Subaru Legacy tent.

The Bright Appearance and the New Body Colors

On the front, the grille and bumper slightly changed. Flash radiator has acquired a large crossbar, used to accommodate the manufacturer’s emblem. Bumper adds aggression due to the new design of fog light parts, the different architectures of central air intake and aerodynamic body kits accented. Fog lights, for instance main optics can be equipped with the LEDs optionally.

Korma survivors of the restyled sedan get only a small update, which mainly comes to the bumper. Here, the diffuser shape is changed; the design of the disposal pipeline system is revised. On the boot lid, a spoiler with more relief feels prescribed. Outline and backlight graphics images remain the same.

The new 2021 Subaru Legacy body color palette is replenished with two new colors – Magnetite Gray Metallic and Crimson Red Pearl. For 17-18 inch wheels, the developers have given new color choices.
